New York’s 106.7 LITE FM and Christmas Music Station iHeartMedia has raised over $ 1,222,737 in NYU Langone, one of the leading children’s hospitals in the United States to provide excellent care for all types of childhood conditions. Benefited the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital.
106. At “Hope for the Holidays Radiothon” on Thursday, December 17, 2007, LITE FM’s on-air personalities such as Paul’Cubby’Bryant, Christine Nagy, Helen Little, Rich Kaminski, Nina Del Rio, and Jack Kratoville will be on Tribeca’s iHeartRadio Theater. We called on listeners to donate to help the hospital and the children being treated.
“This year’s radio tone was special. Listeners really wanted to give back to those in need,” said Chris Conley, program director at 106.7 LITE FM. “We are always looking forward to this day and are partnering with Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital to support children and their families in the New York Metropolitan Area.”
“Hope for the Holidays” featured stories about hospital patients and their families, and interviews with hospital supporters. Event sponsors included Delonghi, Fideris Care, Keyfood, and Ridgewood Savings Bank.
Over the last three years, Hope for the Holidays has raised more than $ 2,000,000 to benefit the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital in NYU Langone.
Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital is NYU Langone’s main pediatric inpatient care facility and the newly built Helen L. And Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion is a 160,000 sq ft facility with 68 private rooms.
It is the first new children’s hospital to open in New York City for nearly 15 years and is Manhattan’s only single-room pediatric hospital.
The hospital’s mission is guided by an unparalleled commitment to partnerships between children and their families. Everyone, from doctors to nurses to support staff, reassures children, listens to their parents, and makes sure the whole family knows that they are not just caring for them. I am devoted to making it.
Through the Sara Child and Family Centered Care Institute, more than 400 doctors at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital work with their families, along with nurses, child life specialists and social workers, from the most common to the most complex. It is a space where children can become children and feel that their parents are supported.
