January 5th (UPI)- Cats stuck on a Texas highway pillar for several days are being treated for dehydration, according to veterinarians.
The El Paso Police Department, the Texas Department of Transportation, and the El Paso Fire Department have worked together to rescue a cat from a pillar in the western part of El Paso’s Interstate 10 after being found stuck a few days ago.
The rescue video was posted on Facebook by El Paso Animal Services.
Animal service officials said the cat was treated for dehydration, but was otherwise found to be intact.
Dr. Alana Kanup, Chief Veterinarian at El Paso Animal Services, said, “He was probably up to stay warm in the car’s engine. Perhaps he was in someone’s car in the engine. He’s there. You probably didn’t even know that. ” I told KTSM-TV. “He probably dropped out and was so lucky that he couldn’t be beaten, so he landed on the pillar under the I-10.”
